Our Collective, Featured: Meet Sophia Panych
Get to know our HIGHR Collective, with mini interviews with our friends, experts and industry insiders.
This week, meet Sophia Panych!
"I met Sophie on a Zoom during lockdown! Sophie is an editor and was writing a feature about HIGHR Lipstick. We were both Americans living in London at the time, and had worked in the beauty industry for a long time, so I remember us chatting and laughing about this crazy industry we're in. Sophie has had an amazing career from Allure to FARFETCH and is a true editorial talent that I'm lucky to call a friend." - Molly, Founder of HIGHR Collective
Take it away Sophia!...
I AM:
Sophia Panych, head of beauty content at FARFETCH, formerly digital beauty director at Allure.
HOW I WEAR HIGHR:
When I want a classic, my-lips-but-better neutral I go for BLUE JEANS, and then obviously CHILTERN an incredible, vibrant red that has made it into my top five red lipsticks of all time. I love to wear it with minimal makeup for maximum impact: mascara, groomed brows, and a bit of concealer/tinted moisturiser where needed.
READING:
I’m reading A Woman of No Importance, which is a biography of Virginia Hall, an American who spied for the British SOE during World War II. It’s an unbelievable and inspiring story of a woman who was doubted every step of the way and proved everybody wrong.
LISTENING:
When it comes to podcasts, every day I listen to the Telegraph’s Ukraine: The Latest every day to keep up with developments and news. Music-wise, I’m loving Joy Crookes album Skin and Karol G, especially her new song from the Barbie movie.
WEARING:
Over the past year I’ve been discovering a lot of Ukrainian designers and finding ways to incorporate them into my wardrobe — blouses from Etnodim, jewellery from Poche and Kolomatska, denim from Ksenia Schnaider and scarves from Gunia Project.
